Charlotte Church, long-time patron of The Noah's Ark Appeal launched the charity’s brand-new Phase Two campaign and outlined Appeal’s main goals for what she announced would be a £4 million campaign.

Show business legend Dame Shirley Bassey has been announced as a new Patron of the Noah’s Ark Appeal joining Catherine Zeta Jones and Charlotte Church.  Dame Shirley has been a staunch supporter of the campaign to build the first Children’s Hospital for Wales for several years.

John Hutchings, a Cardiff postman, has recently raised over £1500 for the Appeal!  He spent 9 days of March 2008 scaling Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. This is no mean feat as the mountain is 5896 metres in height!

Phase One of the Children's Hospital for Wales is a magnificent achievement but the completion of Phase Two will give us one of the best hospitals in the world.  Phase Two will include operating theatres, a critical care unit, surgical wards and an adolescent ward.
