Suggestions for events

Fancy dress party - how about an "animals of the Ark " theme? Hannah Davies and other nurses from the Children's Hospital did this around Cardiff and raised hundreds of pounds!

Car Boot Sale - A great way to clear out your cupboards and turn unwanted items into hospital funds!

Cocktail Evening -Why not glam up for the night? Charge each guest for their drinks so it feels like a real bar. You could even learn some new cocktail recipes!

Concert - Don't be daunted by this one. Big or small, concerts are fun for everyone, especially on summer evenings.

Auction - Not necessarily of things! You could aucton your time, favours to family and friends, and even offer to wash a car or two!

Sponsored Silence - Director's PA Jasmine knows from experience that if you talk a lot, this can be a real challenge. However, it is usually hilarious for the silent person's friends and relatives!

Face Painting - Everyone loves this. Set up a stall on your street, perhaps at a party, and accept donations for painting faces.

Honesty Box - Great for people like Gordon Ramsey! Be honest now though..

Garden Party - Good for hot summer evenings. Buy the food and drink, maybe introduce a theme and then sell tickets to friends. This may not seem like much, but you'll be surprised at what you can raise.

Talent Night - These are so popular thanks to X-Factor and similar programmes! Recently St Thomas Church Youth Club raised a tuneful £700 during their Pop Idol-style evening!
