Some of the biggest names in motoring and travel are linking up to support the Noah’s Ark Appeal and help sick children in Wales.

Mercedes Benz is the latest company to match the sponsorship of a very special truck that will travel the UK and Europe over the next year. The brand new truck owned by W.F.Hall Transport, of Pembrokeshire has been specially decorated with bright colours and the Noah’s Ark Appeal logo. The truck will carry the name of Ian Lacey Hall who tragically lost his life in a road traffic accident. Since then Ian’s family have been determined to pay tribute to their son and have already raised nearly £20,000 for the Noah’s Ark Appeal. Martin and Kath Hall, with their friends and family have dedicated themselves to a full programme of activity and are currently in training for a sponsored walk in Peru next year.

The truck will travel 75,000 miles a year and W.F.Hall Transport pledged to sponsor the truck 1p per mile. This has now been matched by Euro Commercials, Mercedes Benz and Stena Line. The Halls are in talks with other companies and hope to persuade them join up to support the truck campaign to raise thousands of pounds for the Children’s Hospital for Wales.

Gareth Edwards has been a great supporter of the Noah’s Ark Appeal since 2000 and is also Director of Euro Commercials. Gareth will see the truck for himself on Friday and meet the driver who shall appear as Santa.
