Wooden Spoon Society Donates £250,000 to Appeal

£300,000 Needed for Teenage Cancer Unit
The Noah's Ark Appeal has announced that its latest fundraising campaign will focus on raising the final £300,000 needed to help the Teenage Cancer Trust complete a teenage cancer unit at the Children's Hospital for Wales. There is currently no purpose-built facility for teenagers with cancer in Wales. Every day in the UK 6 teenagers are diagnosed with cancer.
WAG Confirms £38.5M Earmarked for Phase 2 of Hospital
The Welsh Assembly Government has confirmed in a letter to the Noah's Ark Appeal that the £38.5M needed for the building of the second phase of the Children's Hospital for Wales has been provisionally identified. However, the go-ahead for the project will not be given until the money needed to fund the running costs has also been identified by the Assembly.
Bring a Pound to Work Day 2004 Raises Over £50,000
Real Radio presented the Noah's Ark Appeal with a cheque for a whopping £50,000 at the Children's Hospital for Wales on 17th May. The proceeds from Bring a Pound to Work Day, which took place in November, were raised by the 537 companies across South Wales that each asked their employees to donate £1 to the Appeal.
