Pupils Becky Elliott and Teja Boocock, accompanied by Christ College's Mrs Allen and Mrs Shannon, recently handed over a cheque for £1968.75 to the Noah's Ark Appeal Chairman Lynne Jones MBE following a number of fundraising events.

High fashion came to the high street last Autumn when House of Fraser Cardiff held an Carnival themed gala evening and raised a high profile £4,878 in their efforts.
The Appeal were all stitched up to receive a beautiful bundle of baby clothes from Gargi Prinja of Cardiff. She loves knitting and is very glad that her colorful creations have found a good home!

The congregations of Llanerchaeron Group of Churches have opened their hearts and collections to the good of the Children’s Hospital this Harvest. Their generosity and celebration in Thanksgiving means a fantastic £750 to help the Appeal!
Pupils from Miss Tina’s School of Dancing tapped, shook, pliéd and leapt their way to a contribution of almost £2000 for the Appeal!
There proved to be buried treasure in Carmarthen last year when the staff of Gilbert’s Children’s Activity Centre took to the local beaches for a sponsored walk. Amid footprints in the sand, seashells and crabs, a wave-making £1375 was gathered!
Hats off to the Ladies of the Port Talbot Naval Social Club; who’s January cabaret evening with raffle and bingo was a big success. In between the chatter and entertainment, the event raised a high-kicking £1,350.
Coleg Glan Hafren, Cardiff, glammed up last year when the Beauty students held two fundraising and pamper days in aid of the Noah’s Ark Appeal.

It was all aboard for the Children’s Hospital for Wales this month when Arriva Trains Wales donated bags of toys, books and games that had been accidentally abandoned on trains all over Wales.
John Hutchings, a Cardiff postman, has recently raised over £1500 for the Appeal! He spent 9 days of March 2008 scaling Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. This is no mean feat as the mountain is 5896 metres in height!
A soaring sea of applause to nurses working on the Children’s Hospital for Wales’ Ocean Ward – over £5000 was raised in sponsorship for their group skydive!
