Catherine and Michael Show Support for Appeal

The Noah’s Ark Appeal is delighted to announce that Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas have donatated a five figure sum to the Appeal as well as choosing the charity to benefit from their share of the proceeds from entries into a competition that ran alongside the All*Star Cup.

Joining eighteen other celebrities in the All*Star Cup - a star-studded golf tournament which will be broadcast on Sky One over the August Bank Holiday Weekend - the couple returned to Catherine’s homeland to play in the tournament, at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport.

Catherine, who is Patron of the Noah’s Ark Appeal, has supported the charity’s work for several years.

Lyn Jones, Chairman of Trustees of the Noah’s Ark Appeal said: “We’re thrilled that Catherine and Michael nominated the Noah’s Ark Appeal as their chosen charity in the tournament and we are truly grateful for their generous donation, which will make a huge difference to many Welsh children.”

Catherine and Michael's donation, along with the money raised through competition entries, will make inroads into the £300,000 needed to complete the Teenage Cancer Trust Unit at the Children’s Hospital for Wales.
