Bikers Meet up with Miss Wales to help the Appeal

Bikers from the Draco Motorcycle Club in Llanelli have presented a cheque for £2,600 to the current Miss Wales, Michelle Bush, for the new Children's Hopsital for Wales.

Fifteen members of the club undertook a 500 mile sponsored motorbike ride takin in Swansea, St David's, Aberystwyth, Newtown, Abergavenny and back to Swansea. The money was raised through sponsorship, collections, and the sale of Noah's Ark pin badges.

Michelle Bush, herself, raised more than £250 for the Appeal by collecting donations from her family and friends.

Chairman of the Trustees of the Noah's Ark Appeal, Lyn Jones, said "The motorbike ride must have been pretty spectacular and we are very grateful to the club for their efforts. It's great that Michelle, after her own fundraising efforts was able to join us to welcome the bikers back to Cardiff. We hoped to get her onto a Harley Davidson!"
