Llangeitho School's Noah's Ark Appeal

Pupils at Llangeitho School have been giving to others as well as giving their thanks.  They recently held a fundraising event, as part of the fundraising service,  to help children at the Children's Hospital for Wales.

One of the Appeal's dedicated volunteers, Dr Glyn Jones, attended the school to pick up the proceeds collected for the Appeal.

One of the children explained, "This term we held our Harvest Thanksgiving service in Llangeitho Church. All the children in the school took part. The theme of the service was Sound and Light and every class did a different item. We had songs, readings, poems, acting and instrumental items and the vicar came to speak to us. Our parents, friends and people from the community were invited. We decided to make a collection towards the Noah’s Ark Appeal because we wanted to help some of the children in Wales who are not as lucky as us. We collected £110 which we presented to Dr. Glyn Jones who came to talk to us about the appeal."

"Yn ystod tymor yr Hydref cawson ni ein Cwrdd Diolchgarwch yn yr eglwys. Roedd rhieni a ffrindiau wedi eu gwahodd i`n cefnogi. Roedd barddoniaeth, canu, offerynnau a gweddio. Ar ôl y perfformiad cawson ni gasgliad o £110 i gyd. Aeth yr arian i Apel Arch Noa yr ysbyty i blant yng Nghaerdydd. Ychydig o wythnosau wedyn daeth Dr. Glyn Jones i weld ni. Esboniodd am Apêl Arch Noa a sut mae`r arian yn helpu i gadw`r plant yn hapus yn yr ysbyty. Mae Ysbyty Arch Noa yn helpu plant fel roedd Noa wedi helpu`r anifeiliaid yn Y Beibl. Rydyn ni`n ffodus i gael ysbyty arbennig i blant, os bydd pawb yn helpu bydd Cymru`n wlad hapusach a mwy iach gobeithio yn y dyfodol."
