A Real Old Cottage Industry

Fundraisers at the Old Cottage pub in Lisvane have raised £10,000 for the Noah’s Ark Appeal through a series of events, raffles and quizzes.  Customers and staff at the Old Cottage have been raising money for the Appeal since the son of a regular at the pub was diagnosed with leukaemia just over a year ago.

A cheque for £1,000 from Ladbrokes Community Fund topped up the coffers and brought the pub’s total to date to £17,000.  Lyn Jones, Chairman of Trustees at the Appeal said, “I am overwhelmed by the generosity shown by the Old Cottage’s customers and staff and thank everyone who donated to this important cause.  I would also like to thank Ladbrokes for its generous donation.  What a wonderful gift for the sick children in Wales.”
