Charlotte Church Pays Surprise Visit to Hospital

Patients at the Children's Hospital for Wales were delighted to be visited by celebrity supporter, Charlotte Church, as Real Radio's 'Bring a Pound to Work Day', raised money in aid of the Noah's Ark Appeal.

Charlotte, who has been a patron of the Noah's Ark Appeal since 2002, spent time meeting patients with Real Radio DJs, who were broadcasting live from the hospital throughout the day.

Last year Bring a Pound to Work Day raised over £77,000 for the Children's Hospital and we hope that this year will have raised even more.  This year the giant fundraising event was raising money to provide free bedside TV and radio entertainment equipment that will make a stay in hospital much more bearable for young patients.

We were delighted that people from all over Wales gave generously throughout the day and are excitedly waiting to find out just how much was raised.  If you haven't donated your pound yet, don't worry - it's not too late!  Simply make a cheque payable to 'The Noah's Ark Appeal' and post it to our office at:

Noah's Ark Appeal, Cardiff Royal Infirmary, Newport Road, Cardiff, CF24 0SZ.  Please remember to write 'Bring a Pound' on the back of the cheque so we'll know to include it in the grand total!

Together we can make a real difference to the lives of sick children in Wales.
