Grwp Arian Teilo Goes Under the Auction Hammer for Noah's Ark

Llandeilo based fund-raisers Grwp Arian Teilo saw the culmination of their efforts over the past year realised last week when they were able to present a cheque of £10,000 for the Noah’s Ark Appeal to build and equip the first children’s hospital in Wales. Chairman of trustees, Lyn Jones and senior nurse Avril Gowman travelled down to the groups headquarters at The White Horse for the presentation.

The group were determined from the outset that all the activities and events would be fun and enjoyable so that people who were contributing so generously with their money would be rewarded with a good time. Numerous events were held, from raffles and barbecues to a very lucrative celebrity memorabilia auction with the aid of Barclays Bank. Grwp Arian Teilo chairman Mike Rees said, “we send our gratitude to Llandeilo, the local businesses, celebrities and townspeople who have all been incredibly supportive. We’ll be helping local causes this year and are already planning our next event.”
