Karate Club Kick Out for Noah's Ark

The Rising Sun Kyokushin Karate Club in Barry has raised over £800 for The Noah's Ark Appeal! The club, which currently teaches martial arts to over 30 students, organised a day out for the students to Porthkerry to raise the money. Much fun was had, including walking the Golden Stairs and everyone enjoying themselves mucking around on the beach!

The club has only been running for six months, but, says Lee Bennett, who is a co-founder of The Rising Sun, it has been a great success. “We want to help out the Noah’s Ark Appeal in any way we can,” said Lee enthusiastically. Lee has supported the Appeal in the past and we hope he will continue to do so!

Marilyn Reed from the Appeal, and also a local of Barry, was present to collect the cheque.
