Pembrokeshire Digs Deep for Appeal Once Again

The people of Pembrokeshire have, once again, shown their great generosity and support for the Noah’s Ark Appeal by raising over £15,000 for the charity at this year’s Big Bang Ball, in Narberth. The event also marked the launch of an exciting new relationship between Princes Gate Spring Water and the Noah’s Ark Appeal.

In support of the charity, Princes Gate has launched a children’s range of naturally flavoured water to support the cause, with the Noah’s Ark Logo on each bottle and a portion of the proceeds being donated to the charity.

Expressing his delight at the association with the Appeal, David Jones, MD of Princes Gate Spring Water stated: ‘We couldn’t be prouder to be associated with Noah’s Ark Appeal. It’s not only a worthy Welsh beneficiary driven by committed individuals, but the cause for children touches all of our hearts.’

‘It was an absolutely wonderful night! We couldn’t believe the amount raised by the ball - it’s a testimony to the generosity of the people of Pembrokeshire. It was lovely to see the people who have supported the cause for many years being entertained and enjoying themselves while raising much needed money. Our thanks to our friends at Princes Gate Spring Water and in particular David & Jackie Jones, who personally funded the meal and evenings’ entertainment,’ said Lyn Jones, Chairman of Trustees at the Noah’s Ark Appeal.

Princes Gate Spring Water has committed to fundraising for the charity all-year-round and its staff have decided to pull out all the stops to generate as much money as possible for the Children of Wales. The next big initiative is the Cardiff Half Marathon, at which Princes Gate and friends hope to generate in excess of £10,000.

Princes Gate Spring Water invites any parties interested in participating in the Cardiff Half Marathon with them to call for a registration pack on 01834 831225. The Noah’s Ark Appeal is in need of funds more than ever with the recent announcement that Phase Two of the Children’s Hospital might not be government funded. Lyn Jones comments: ‘Our fight will go on. We will stop at nothing to ensure that the Children of Wales receive world-class treatment with or without the support of government.’

The Big Bang Ball is just the latest of fundraising initiatives for the Noah’s Ark Appeal organised by Pembrokeshire folk who have already raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for the Children's Hospital.
