Guests at the Sports Evening, held at the Vale Of Glamorgan Hotel, enjoyed testing the wit of the celebrity sports panel made up of Ieuan Evans, Jonathan Davies, Colin Jackson and Nicole Cooke. Compered by Angharad Rees, questions ranged from the serious subject of the use of drugs in sport to light-hearted probing about star-signs and memorable experiences that had the audience in fits of laughter.

Raising funds for the Noah's Ark Appeal and Cylch Meithrin Y Bontfaen, organiser Kathryn Evans said she was delighted with the success of the evening and was pleased to be presenting both causes with much needed funds to boost their campaigns. 'Both charities are close to our heart; as parents we feel a purpose-built children's hospital is vital and we have been involved with the Noah's Ark Appeal since Ian Botham's first Walk. Our children also benefit from the wonderful nursery and local school and we are pleased to be able to give something back.'
