Jonathan Gets Behind 'Get Fit, Get Healthy, Get Giving' Campaign

Welsh rugby hero, Jonathan Davies,  recently got behind the Noah's Ark Appeal's campaign to raise the final £300,000 needed to build a teenage cancer unit at the Children's Hospital for Wales.

Supporting the Welsh Assembly initiative, ‘Health Challenge Wales', the Noah's Ark Appeal is challenging the people of Wales to get fit, get healthy and get giving by taking part in a range of sponsored sporting activities to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Unit.

Spearheading the campaign, Jonathan Davies took part in the Great North Run which will took place in Newcastle on 18 September; the 25 th Anniversary of the event, which is now the world's biggest half marathon.

“We're hoping that the people of Wales will see our campaign as a great opportunity to get fit and take action against preventable diseases like heart disease, diabetes and many forms of cancer, whilst raising money to make a difference to the lives of teenagers, in Wales, with cancer” said Suzanne Mainwaring, Director of the Noah's Ark Appeal. “We're thrilled that Jonathan is launching our campaign and wish him the very best for his forthcoming challenge” she added.

To take part all you need to do is get your kit on and get fundraising! The faster you leave the starting blocks, the more time you'll have to get raising money so, ‘On your marks, get set, GO FUNDRAISING!'
