Special Assembly for Superstar Neil

Neil Jenkins has made a special guest appearance at the school assembly of Year 8 at Porthcawl Comprehensive. The world-renowned rugby superstar met up with Huw Battrick. Huw was the mascot at the Wales v France game and was sponsored by his fellow pupils to raise £383 for the Noah's Ark Appeal.

Huw is the current South Wales Echo Child of Courage and we wish him all the best in the future. Neil created a big stir at the school and presented Huw with a signed rugby ball on behalf of the Noah's Ark Appeal. When asked by Mr Dykes, the Headteacher what it was like to lead the Welsh team onto the pitch at the Millennium Stadium, Huw said it was awesome and revealed that he had been given the full kit he wore as a present.
