Children's Hospital for Wales Open Weekend

Supporters of the Noah's Ark Appeal were invited to attend an open weekend at the Children's Hospital for Wales on 22/23 January. The one-off chance to see inside the first dedicated children's hospital in Wales (before patients are admitted at the end of February) brought over 1000 people to the Children's Hospital for Wales.

Visitors were able to take a look at one of the wards and the specially designed art work as well as having the opportunity to test out some of the interactive pieces of art and furniture, designed with children in mind.

Celebrity friends of the Appeal including Max Boyce and Stan Stennet were on hand to welcome visitors over the weekend.

The Noah's Ark Appeal gift shop opened its doors, selling a range of soft toys, key rings and greetings cards to raise money for the hospital and a raffle was held.

The weekend proved an overwhelming success with many positive comments noted in the visitors' book. We are thrilled that so many of our supporters managed to come along and see the world-class hospital that their money has helped to build and equip.
