Panasonic TV Donation

In celebration of twenty-five years of manufacturing in South Wales, Panasonic has donated twenty-five television sets with a retail value of £25000 to the Noah's Ark Appeal.

Minoru Ueda, Managing Director of Panasonic in Cardiff, said, "I can think of no better way to mark this milestone for Panasonic. Wales certainly needs a Children's Hospital and we are delighted to be able to help".

Lyn Jones, Chairman of the Trustees of the Noah's Ark Appeal, remarked "This is a wonderful gesture. Some of the televisions will go to the wards in the new hospital and we are confident that our fundraising plans will be able to convert the others into a six figure sum for the Appeal".

At the Panasonic factory in Pentwyn, to receive the televisions on behalf of the Noah's Ark Appeal, were Iestyn Harris, Pieter Muller, Dan Baugh and Anthony Sullivan from Cardiff Rugby Club. The Club has also adopted the Appeal in its own 125th anniversary season and is hoping to raise the £25000 needed to name a 'Cardiff Rugby Club' room in the new hospital.
