The light, bright and colourful building has been designed with children in mind, helping ensure that the experience of being admitted into hospital is as comfortable and supportive as possible. From the themed artwork on each ward, fish tank in the reception to the many other fun features of the Children’s Hospital for Wales there is always something to occupy little minds. Why not take a look at our gallery to see just how cheerful our hospital is.

Phase One opened in 2005 and treats many thousands of children from all over Wales, in need of specialist medical and cancer care are treated annually. Phase Two which is due to be open for patients in 2014 will ensure that children needing surgery and those in intensive-care will have the same first-rate facilities.
